What is Spore Testing and Why It Matters
Regular testing is the only way to know if an autoclave is actually working.
A salon that uses an autoclave should do regular spore testing (usually monthly). We use one, and we test it on schedule.
Special test strips containing resistant spores are run through the machine and then checked to confirm the autoclave is actually working.
Without regular testing, there is no guarantee the machine is sterilizing properly. We take this seriously.
