The Biggest Lie in Nail Salons: “We Sterilize Our Tools”
Why UV boxes and bead sterilizers do not actually sterilize nail tools.
Walk into many salons and you will see a glowing UV box or a pot of hot beads. They call it sterilization.
The truth?
- UV light only works if it hits every surface directly. Nail tools have corners, hinges and handles that stay in shadow.
- Bead sterilizers only heat the part touching the beads. Handles stay dirty.
- These machines do not meet real sterilization standards.
We do not use them. We use proper chemical disinfection with full soaking, and every metal tool is then sterilized in a Class-B autoclave at 134°C. Real safety is quiet. It does not need to glow.
