Why You Must Clean Tools Before Disinfecting Them
Dirt and residue can stop disinfectant from working. Here’s why the order matters.
Many salons put dirty tools straight into disinfectant. This is a mistake.
Dirt, oil, soap, and product residue can stop the disinfectant from working properly. The chemical gets blocked and cannot kill the germs effectively.
That is why we always clean tools first (soap + water or ultrasonic), rinse them, and only then put them into the disinfectant. Clean first. Disinfect second. This order matters.
