Antiseptic vs Disinfectant – What’s the Difference?
One is for skin. The other is for tools. Mixing them up is a common mistake.
Antiseptic = safe to use on living skin (for example, on a small cut).
Disinfectant = made for non-living surfaces and tools. It is too strong for skin and can cause irritation.
We never put salon disinfectants on a client’s skin. For skin, we use proper antiseptics only.
